Ali Baba Grill was opened in November of 2000 by Fiyahd Aoutabachi and Mahmoud. Their love of fine Lebanese and Mediterranean cuisine stemmed from their respective upbringings. A native of Syria, Fiyahd spent a decade working as a chef at a large restaurant in Saudi Arabia. His winning dishes reflect both his family background and his cooking experiences. Owner/chef Fiyahd was one of the owners of the now-defunct La Zeez, currenlty known as Aladdin in Denver. In 1999, he sold La Zeez and began making preparations to open Ali Baba.

Ali Baba is truly a family-run business where everyone is welcome. Each small artistic artifact in the restaurant has a story. One unique fact about Ali Baba Grill is that all of their food is cooked fresh daily.

Best of Denver:

In 2002 and 2004, Ali Baba Grill received the “Best Of Denver” award for Best Middle Eastern food.
