The Fossil Trace Golf Club opened in historic Golden Colorado in 2003. The course opened approximately 64-million years after the first dinosaurs walked where Holes 11-15 now sit. Fossil Trace Golf Club is widely considered one of Denver’s top golf course, designed by renowned golf course architect Jim Engh.
Fossil Trace Golf Club is nestled adjacent to the foothills of the Rocky Mountain Front Range. As you navigate the course and its rolling topography; large, undulating fairways and greens are matched with treacherous greenside and fairway bunkers. With reasonable rates, the course features create a modern test of golf in a truly inspirational location. The shadows of the foothills and majestic Table Mountain guide players through the variety of character-laden holes.
Pace of Play:
With less time for leisure and more time at work, with friends, family, and other recreational activities, it is agreed that golfers should be more aware of a friendly and reasonable pace of play. Recent National Golf Foundation research indicates golf pace of play is one of the greatest concerns of golfers in the United States. Our goal is to share how we manage pace of play at Fossil Trace Golf Club.
The entire course is estimated to take 4 hours, 40 minutes. The front 9 take an estimated 2 hours, 15 minutes, while the back 9 average is 2 hours, 17 minutes.
